Troubleshooting - Can I use QODBC without having QuickBooks installed?

My clients give me a backup copy of their QuickBooks file. I don't have QuickBooks installed on my computer, but I would like to bring the data into Excel. Can I use QODBC without having QuickBooks installed?

No, sorry! QODBC uses QuickBooks SDK to access QuickBooks data & QuickBooks SDK is installed with the QuickBooks application. The QuickBooks application requires accessing QuickBooks data using QODBC.

Another option is you can use QRemote to connect to QuickBooks located on the remote machine.
