Troubleshooting - MS Access and QuickBooks freeze (Not Responding) when accessing the first time
When pushing data from the access database to QuickBooks, the QODBC message indicates waiting on QuickBooks and both Access and QuickBooks freeze (Not Responding). This is happening with a new user on this PC. Other users are able to log in and it works normally, but this user cannot push data from Access to QuickBooks at all. We have reviewed permissions for the user in QuickBooks, in Active Directory and they are all the same as working users. Are any special permission needed for this to work? This issue is urgent, please advice.
You may face QuickBooks and both Access and QuickBooks freeze (Not Responding) issue when accessing table for the first time because QODBC is building optimizer for that table in the background.

Please Rebuild the optimizer file & check again. Refer: Getting the limited number of records or Few of the records is Missing in QODBC Table result Rebuild Optimizer file section.
Please also enable QODBC status panel via QODBC Setup Screen->Message Window->Select "Display Driver Status" and "Display optimizer Status" options. Refer: How to view details on what QODBC is performing for more details.
After building Optimizer file when you run query QODBC will check for any changes QuickBooks Data & update it in Optimizer file. So you will not face Not Responding issue in QuickBooks & your application.
