Troubleshooting - QB Begin Session Failed. 653 - There was an error while communicating with the Ids Server. The Response Stream was null or empty.

Problem Description:

I am using QODBC Online. I have authorized QODBC Online at QuickBooks Online.

When we try to connect, the following error appears:

Begin Session Failed. S0000 00000 [QODBC] QB Begin Session Failed. 653 - There was an error while communicating with the Ids Server. - - The Response Stream was null or empty.

Solution:

QuickBooks Online database is accessed via REST API ( web interface ), and a few times, QODBC Online does not get a timely response and connects may time out.

This may also depend on your internet connection and QuickBooks Online Web Services. When you receive a such error, please wait for some time & try to connect again.

I have the same status for the last four days. Qb states that there are not issues with API.

I would suggest uninstalling the current version of QODBC Online and installing the latest version of QODBC Online. If you are still facing the issue. Please raise a support ticket with us. Regards -Raj - QODBC Support
