 Or

"QRemote Client Encryption Key does not match with the one specified on QRemote Server."

How can I solve this error?

Solution 1:

You will receive this error when using the encryption key in QRemote Server, which does not match the QRemote Client encryption key.

If you want to use the Encryption key, you need to set the same encryption key on the QRemote client & server.

You can check the QRemote Client encryption key from:

32-bit QRemote DSN:

Start>> All Programs>>QODBC Driver for use with QuickBooks >> Configure QODBC Data Source >>Go To "System DSN" Tab >> select QuickBooks Data QRemote >> click "configure"

64-bit QRemote DSN:

Start>> All Programs>> QODBC Driver for use with QuickBooks >> Configure QODBC Data Source 64-bit >>Go To "System DSN" Tab >> select QuickBooks Data 64-bit QRemote>> click "configure"

You can check the QRemote Server Encryption key from:

You can find the QRemote server running in the System Tray. If it is not running, then please run from the following:

Start>>All Programs>> QODBC Driver for use with QuickBooks >> QRemote Server for QODBC

Open QRemote Server from the system tray:

File>> Setting >> Encryption tab

Please verify the encryption key from the client & server. If the Encryption key is different, then please set the same encryption key apply changes & restart QRemote Server & test again.

If you don't want to use the Encryption key, turn off the encryption, and please keep it as the default key("QODBC#QRemote$1") on the QRemote Client side & QRemote Server side.

Open QRemote Server from the system tray:

File>> Setting >> Encryption tab>> Select "No Encryption in transmission," apply changes & restart QRemote Server & test again.

Solution 2:

Delete the file "QRemoteServerConfig.ini" from the below-listed location:

C:\ProgramData\QODBC Driver for QuickBooks

After deleting the file "QRemoteServerConfig.ini," exit QRemote Server

Close all the applications that use QODBC or QuickBooks application.
Close / Exit QRemoteServer
Uninstall QODBC. (Do not deactivate your current CDKEY/License)
Install QODBC again.
Skip the CDKEY step during installation
Restart Windows

If you are using QRemote Remotely or an SQL server with QRemote from another machine, perform the above steps on that machine.

Do not change the default encryption option or setting; try connecting it again.
