Thank you for the video!
Can you please clarify: why is it necessary to use QRemote with 32bit application, why can't we use QODBC driver right away?
Thanks!

Hi Anna,

IIS is a service based application and running in visual studio is the desktop based application.

To run Service based application you need to Either use DCOM or QRemote Server.

I would suggest you use QRemote Server. You need to use QRemote DSN for 32-Bit application "QuickBooks Data QRemote" & for 64-Bit application "QuickBooks Data 64-Bit QRemote".

If you want to setup DCOM Server, I kindly suggest you refer below article for how to setup DCOM server:

DCOM is an obsolete project and development/bug fixes are no more possible. While QRemote is current project development/bug fixes is possible.

DCOM configuration is tricky & hard, while QRemote configuration is easy.
