I am facing the following issue with the Power BI Gateway.

Begin Session Failed. S0000 00000 [QODBC] QuickBooks Begin Session Failed. Error = 80040408, Could not start QuickBooks.

Begin Session errors can be caused when running SQL Server, Web Server, or other service based applications and not using a QODBC Server Edition license and QRemote

Answer:

Power BI Gateway is a service-based application. You will need a QODBC Server Edition license to use QODBC and QRemote with Power BI Gateway.
